Here is a very nice & unusual Browning Superposed 12ga gun. I have never handled a nicer early pre-war Superposed.
Early horseshoe style forend. Early double ring Superposed horn buttplate. Early “Browning Superposed” engraving on top rib. Unmarked receiver All hard to find features on a Superposed and this gorgeous gun has most of it’s original condition. Listed to be second year (1933) production.
Deep lustre blue on all metal components. Very little blue wear evident. Some very very light oxidation on a couple of areas of receiver. Hardly worth mentioning.
Mint bores. Nice screws. Early Browning non-selective single trigger. Bottom barrel fires first. Very very tight gun, saw little use.
28 1/2″ barrels IC & IC chokes.
Delightful balance & fantastic pre-war workmanship.
1 1/2″ DAC 2 1/8″ DAH 12 13/16″ LOP to original buttplate from rear position. If this was a two trigger gun it would be 14″ from front trigger. I believe this LOP to be from the factory. Original buttplate fits perfectly and there are no extra screw holes under the BP.
Sharp checkering, no cracks, splits or gouges. Perfect wood to metal fit.
This is a rare variation of the classic Superposed and is a must for a Browning Superposed collection.
