Dont wait on this one! Really nice and honest Winchester Model 1894 rifle that is untouched other than good honest wear spending it’s life here in the Adirondack Mountains doing it’s job.
This gun has been taken care of… correct sights, exceptional bore (very very unusual on a .38-55 to find a bore this clean). Fantastic screws.
Much factory blue remains on 24″ octagon barrel and full magazine. Seems to have blood pitting on the outside upper surface of the barrel at muzzle end ahead of the front sight. Receiver maintains much nice factory blue with balance turning to patina in carry areas. No non-factory holes in metal.
The wood on this rifle is sound and unsanded. No cracks, splits or extra holes. The right side of the stock has a “beuaty mark” where it obviously took a hard bump but it really does not detract and adds honest character to this Winchester. Staining around buttplate.
Appears to dry-function perfectly.
All guns should be checked by a qualified gunsmith before firing live ammunition.
