A very nice untouched original Winchester Model 1894 rifle in .30 WCF. Takedown. This gun has come from the original owner’s family and has spent it’s life in the Adirondack Mountains.
Special order 1/2 round 1/2 octagon 26″ barrel with half magazine all match Winchester records at Cody museum. Shipped 1906. Special sights, tang peep, folding Marbles barrel sight, Lyman front sight.
Excellent original condition from one end to the other. Approx 65-70% original blue, remainder smooth patina. Never rusted/pitted. Excellent bright bore. Great screws (one slightly marred)
Traces of original varnish on wood, remainder appears to have flaked. Nice grain & figure stock & forend. NOT sanded. No cracks, splits, extra holes. Sound and tight to metal.
Mechanically fine.
A very honest special order Winchester which can be enjoyed and will continue to appreciate.
