This is one rare Winchester Model 42!!!…the only one that I have ever seen in the flesh. Winchester Model 42 Field Grade with a straight grip. This model was catalogued but rarely encountered today. Very limited sales of this configuration.
This gun is in fantastic factory original condition. Nearly all of the original bright blue remains. Some loss on sharp edges and on magazine tube from working the slide. Very nice original finish on forend and buttstock. Original hard rubber Winchester buttplate.
There is a “burn” on the very rear of the buttstock parallel with the buttplate.
28″ barrel, Full choke.
